Fossil Dinosaur Specimen Gem Bone - DS27-Jurassic Morrison Formation. Ds-27 - Here's a perfect specimen exhibiting all the diverse textures of skin and rind, plus marrow. Surface polished across both top and base, with a bit of polishing on the two narrow sides of the piece. Shown both wet and dry. Front - Dry the piece shows fine red agate/marrow with bluish and light tan rind along the bottom and right side.

Wet the colors jump out, and would do the same if treated. 2 3/4 Wide at Base with remainder of width just over 2 1/2 inches.

Shows a sprinkling of red marrow/agate along top. 3 inches wide/ base X 2 3/4 /middle X 2 1/2 wide at top. 2 1/2 Tall x 2 3/4 Tall right side. Left side -Has a few polished areas, but mainly red agate cells with some whitish/calcite areas.

2 1/4 Wide at Base X 1 1/2 Wide /middle and top. Right side -polished areas showing bright, elongated red with black webbing. Unpolished areas (dry) show up tan color with small red agate.

Bottom- Polished with a lot more color and fine cell structure showing, so I guess with further polishing and sealant, this could become the top of the piece. But even dry, the reds with black webbing show through. 2 3/4 Wide X 1 1/4 to 2 1/8 thick.
