"Similar to" a T Rex. It is not an "African T Rex". Nor is it just a member of the Tyrannosaur family like Albertosaurus, Gorgosaurus or Daspletosaurus.

This is the real thing. Here is a nice piece of rib bone from a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Was found in the Hell Creek Formation, near Glendive, Montana. There were a large number of pieces. Found in the same exact site, of a T-Rex.

All the pieces are from the same back legs, so they are from the femur, fibula, tibia, or pelvic girdle (ilium, ischium, pubis), or feet, of the T Rex. The specimen measures about 1.99 inches using calipers. 66 to 68 million years ago. The last great Age of the Dinosaurs. No paint or restoration has been applied.

A couple pieces were glued together at the site. This is not considered damage with dinosaur bones. In fact, nearly all the bones you see on museum dinosaur skeletons are either replicas or glued together. Tyrannosaurus Rex was king of the predators in the Hell Creek Formation.

The name Tyrannosaurus means "Tyrant Lizard" in Greek, and Rex means "King" in Latin. It could grow to 40 feet, and had the strongest bite of any land animal ever. We invite you to visit our store. A COA should be specific to one particular specimen. With a photo of the item on it. It can never be transferred to a different specimen.
