"Similar to" a T Rex. It is not an "African T Rex".

Nor is it just a member of the Tyrannosaur family like Albertosaurus, Gorgosaurus or Daspletosaurus. This is the real thing.

Here is a nice piece of premax (premaxilla) from a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Was found in the Hell Creek Formation, in eastern Montana, near Glendive. There were a large number of pieces.

Found in the same exact site, of a T-Rex. The premaxilla is the bone at the very front of the head of the T rex. It held the 4 front-most of all the teeth on the top. Therefore, those 4 teeth, though not huge, were sharp and got a lot of action ripping into flesh.

The specimen measures about 3.22 inches at the longest measurement, and it weighs 4.45 oz. 66 to 68 million years ago. The last great Age of the Dinosaurs. No paint or restoration has been applied.

This piece was glued together on site, to ease in proper excavation. This is not considered damage with dinosaur bones.

In fact, nearly all dinosaur skeletons on museum display are made of bones that are replicas or were glued together. Tyrannosaurus Rex was king of the predators in the Hell Creek Formation. The name Tyrannosaurus means "Tyrant Lizard" in Greek, and Rex means "King" in Latin. It could grow to 40 feet, and had the strongest bite of any land animal ever.

We have been working with fossils and minerals for many years, and we have seen hundreds of very nice-looking COA's, some that are wrong, mis-describing a specimen.

A COA should be specific to one particular specimen. With a photo of the item on it. It can never be transferred to a different specimen. We want to make sure you are fairly treated by us always.
